Entries are now open for one of the country's biggest fun run events, the Brendan Foot Supersite Round the Bays, which attracted over 13,000 participants last year.

This is the second year MAS is sponsoring the 6.5km fun run or walk at the annual event, which takes place in Wellington on Sunday 20 February 2022.

MAS Members can receive discounted entry, a cap, and a sustainable activewear t-shirt or singlet to race in, and enjoy a post-event barbecue to celebrate their achievement with whānau and friends.

MAS Head of Brand and Partnerships Nicola Airey says "we're proud to be partnering with Brendan Foot Supersite Round the Bays for another year. The range of different course options means entrants can find active events that suit them, something that really aligns with MAS's purpose of inspiring a healthier New Zealand.

"We're thrilled to be supporting this iconic Wellington event, and we hope to see plenty of MAS Members and their whānau getting involved," says Nicola.

MAS Members receive 10% off the registration fee, of any category, until entries close on 18 February 2022. Members who enter can also receive a cap, t-shirt or singlet. The t-shirts and singlets are made from 80% recycled plastic.

Nicola Airey says "MAS will also be hosting a barbecue at the finish line for all participants to refuel, whether they've enjoyed the 6.5km fun run or walk, or tackled the half marathon."

For a second year, MAS is also sponsoring Run and Become, a programme run by not-for-profit community organisation Nuku Ora that encourages kids to be more active and healthy.

Run and Become is helping kids from around the Wellington region attend Brendan Foot Supersite Round the Bays, offering free entry and transport for 352 tamariki and their guardians, as well as holding fun workshops to help get the kids ready to participate.
