MAS was founded by doctors. That origin still shapes how we show up for our Members and the medical communities they are part of today.
We support those whose work underpins the health and wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand. The initiatives, relationships and events we are involved in are selected with care, so they can deliver meaningful value for our Members and contribute positively to the communities they serve.
This reflects who we are as a mutual and our responsibility to invest thoughtfully and with purpose.
MAS partners with Hato Hone St John to support free CPR and AED education across New Zealand.
Through the 3 Steps for Life programme and the nationwide Shocktober campaign, this partnership helps equip communities, including our Members and their whānau, with the confidence and skills to respond in an emergency.
It’s an example of how we support wellbeing and preparedness in ways that benefit both Members and the wider community.
We’re involved and support a range of initiatives across the medical, dental, veterinary and professional communities through a mix of sponsorships, partnerships and events. We support and attend conferences, events and gatherings that help bring communities together to learn and connect. Our support may involve amplification of events or initiatives and supporting organisations with tools, resources or speakers. Take a look below at some of our partners.
NZDA represents dental professionals across the country and is a strong advocate for oral health in Aotearoa. We support NZDA as sponsor of their Well Aware wellbeing program and annual Employment Fair and Conference.
NZVA promotes animal health, welfare, and the veterinary profession. Our partnership supports the unique needs of vets, who often face high workloads and rural isolation, by making expert financial advice and support easily accessible.
NZMSA supports medical students across Aotearoa, advocating for wellbeing, professional development and a strong sense of community. Our long-standing partnership helps future doctors start their careers on firm financial footing.
These creative collectives bring together medical professionals with artistic talents, reminding us all of creativity, connection, and holistic wellbeing. Our support helps showcase this side of the profession through annual concerts.
ILANZ, a New Zealand Law Society section, advocates for and connects in-house legal professionals. We offer insurance and investment support for their members.
The NZBA supports barristers with key advocacy, networking, and vital professional development. We’re truly committed to helping support their members throughout their legal careers, from start to King’s Counsel.
Held annually at Eden Park, Art in the Park showcases work by some of Aotearoa’s best-known and emerging artists. As sponsors of the Emerging Artist's Gallery, we use this platform to connect with Members in a unique, culturally rich way.
If you’re interested in applying for sponsorship for your event, you can submit a sponsorship request at least 3 months out from your event, outlining your event, audience, funding amount, and how MAS would be involved. We’re looking for strong alignment with our target markets and brand values. Requests are reviewed by our Sponsorship Committee every 2 months. If approved, we’ll confirm next steps and how we’ll measure success together.
Separate from these partnerships, MAS Foundation is dedicated to improving health and wellbeing equity in Aotearoa New Zealand. More than just a grantmaker, MAS Foundation stands out through its long-term partnerships with organisations working to address complex challenges. By supporting these communities, it’s helping build a healthier and more equitable future for all.
