Veterinary Nurse Awareness Week (5-9 October 2026) celebrates the extraordinary people at the heart of every great veterinary team. 

And this year, MAS and IndieVets have come together to recognise the professional skill, compassion and dedication vet nurses bring to our member clinics every day.  

In a special prize draw, exclusive to veterinary nurses working at IndieVets member clinics, we’re gifting 3 x $500 MAS Investment Funds contributions. 

Our three lucky winners will be announced during Veterinary Nurse Awareness Week in October. A MAS Adviser will be in touch to discuss which fund could be right for you.

How to enter:

  1. This prize draw is open to Veterinary Nurses employed full-time or part-time (20+ hours per week) at an IndieVets member clinic.
  2. Entries open 15 August 2026 and close at 5pm on 30 September 2026.
  3. Visit MAS Investment Funds and answer the question: “What’s ONE reason people choose MAS Investment Funds?”
  4. Send your answer to libby.s@indievets.co.nz. Include: i) your full name ii) clinic name iii) contact email and/or phone number and iv) answer to the question above.

The promoter of the Prize Draw is Medical Assurance Society New Zealand Limited, Level 3, PwC Centre, 10 Waterloo Quay, PO Box 957, Wellington 6140.   

By entering the MAS prize draw (the Prize Draw) for National Veterinary Nurse Awareness Week, you agree to the following terms and conditions:  

  1. This Prize Draw is open to Veterinary Nurses employed full-time or part-time (20+ hours per week) at an IndieVets member clinic.
  2. Entries open 15 August 2026 and close at 5pm on 30 September 2026.
  3. Only one entry per person will be accepted, and a maximum of 1 prize can be won per person.
  4. The winners will be selected by IndieVets using randomdraws.co.nz. 
  5. Employees of MAS and its related companies (and their immediate families) are not eligible to enter this prize draw. 
  6. Each Prize Draw winner will receive one of three MAS Investment Funds contributions, each valued at $500. Winners will be notified by email or phone using the contact details provided when entering the competition.     
  7. To receive the $500 contribution, the winner must be an account holder of a MAS Investment Funds account in their name (individual or joint). If the winner is not already an account holder, they must open a MASIF account. Standard MASIF application, eligibility, and customer due diligence requirements apply. 
  8. Medical Funds Management Limited is the issuer and manager of the MAS Investment Funds. A PDS is available at mas.co.nz/investments  
  9. If MAS is unable to confirm the winner’s account details within 60 days, MAS will not be liable to make the $500 contribution and MAS will redraw a winner in accordance with these terms. 
  10. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods. 
  11. MAS reserves the right to vary any of these terms and conditions at any time without providing notice. 
  12. MAS does not accept responsibility or liability whatsoever to the winner beyond these terms and conditions. 
  13. By entering this prize draw you agree to being contacted by MAS via email, and consent to Medical Assurance Society New Zealand Limited (MAS), PO Box 957 Wellington, collecting and holding this information in accordance with the MAS Privacy Statement including sending promotional emails. You can access and correct this information under the Privacy Act 2020.
  14. By entering the prize draw, you agree that MAS may use your name and/or photograph for publicity purposes.
