Medical Assurance Society New Zealand Limited (MAS), PO Box 957, Wellington, is collecting and will hold the information provided as part of this prize draw. You may access and correct your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. MAS will only send promotional communications where you have opted in to receive them.   

By entering the MAS St John LifeBeat Mini Giveaway (the Prize Draw), you agree to the following terms and conditions: 

1. The promoter of the Prize Draw is Medical Assurance Society New Zealand Limited (MAS), Level 3, PwC Centre, 10 Waterloo Quay, Wellington 6011.

2. The Prize Draw is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years and over who:

a) complete and submit the MAS entry form between 25 September 2026 and 31 October 2026; and

b) answer the Prize Draw question included in the entry form.

3. Entries open at 12.01am on 25 September 2026 and close at 11.59pm on 31 October 2026.    

4. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Incomplete, illegible or duplicate entries may be excluded.    

5. The prize consists of one St John LifeBeat Mini Defibrillator. 

6. The LifeBeat Mini Defibrillator is a medical device. MAS does not provide medical advice, training, certification, or guidance regarding its use. The winner is responsible for ensuring the device is used, maintained, and stored in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and any applicable regulatory requirements.  

7. If the winner or intended users have not received medical or emergency response training, MAS recommends completing a basic emergency response course, such as St John’s 3 Steps for Life training, to help build confidence in responding to a cardiac emergency. 

8. The Prize Draw will be drawn by a MAS representative on 5 November. The winner of the Prize Draw will be randomly selected and will meet the criteria set out in these terms.  

9. The winner will be notified using the contact details supplied in the entry form. MAS may make reasonable attempts to contact the winner by phone and/or email.    

10. If the winner does not claim the Prize in 5 working days, the Prize will be redrawn in accordance with these terms.   

11. The Prize is not transferable, MAS reserves the right to change the prize drawn, cancel the Prize Draw or exchange the Prize for a similar prize of equivalent value without notice at any time. The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods. MAS's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

12. Employees of MAS and Hato Hone St John and its related companies (and their immediate families) are not eligible to enter this Prize Draw.     

13. By entering the Prize Draw you agree that MAS may use your name, entry details and photograph for publicity purposes.   

14. If a winner does not comply with these terms, MAS reserves the right to withdraw the Prize from that winner.   

15. Except as required by law, neither MAS nor Hato Hone St John, nor their respective officers, employees, contractors, volunteers and agents will be liable for any loss, damage, cost, expense, injury or claim arising from or in connection with the Prize Draw or prize.

16. Hato Hone St John, its related entities, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers and agents are not the promoter of this Prize Draw and are not responsible for the administration of the Prize Draw, the collection of entries, selection of the winner, or the award of the prize. 

17. MAS reserves the right to vary any of these terms and conditions at any time without providing notice.
